Sorry if I may have quoted a lot here, but if I'm to understand this song, I'd start here. It seems like he's describing work and everyday life. It's boring and superficial, and people complain pointlessly and smile with nothing on their mind and in the end we're all victims to all these lies that entangle our lives. I can really identify with what he means with "disappointed eyes". It's weird when you can tell someone from their eyes, but their expressions and words don't necessarily match.
