The Wikipedia entry about this song even links to a BBC article that states - this song is about how Guy Ritchie dumped his girlfriend Tania Strecker (a Danish model and a UK TV presenter) for Madonna. His excuse was the chorus of this song. Robbie Williams learned this from Tania, when he was her boyfriend himself.
Madonna actually approved the song per his request, as he didn't reveal the inner meaning to her. Only later Guy Ritchie realized it and therefore made Madonna not appear in the video as was planned (isn't it sad that Guy Ritchie controls Madonna?).
