arghh.. i only somewhat recently discovered this song..
and though i absolutely love it and can't stop singing it, and though the lyrics -are- straightforward, i am so frustrated by what caribou -doesn't- say!
that is, why did he leave her? why do people feel the need to justify his action; didn't he have justification? is the absence of his reasoning the cause of their justification? what did they conclude?!
..as usual, i'm totally overthinking things, wishing there were some way of knowing the back story.. and, in doing so, am totally overlooking the fact that the song -sounds- good, and that's all that matters.
