For me this song is about being in love with someone on the other side of the world. without her you fell like you "never really existed" but you care for her all your life. maybe on the phone you said to her that its hopeless but you cant forget her anyway. now finally he thinks about becoming some powerful creature or something that is able to overcome the borders.
