This seems almost like some ritualistic event, where Sally "floats from the bed" and into the cave in which "there's a strange device" "exchanging...signals with the deep."
"As above is so below" seems quite important. It seems to me like when Sally sings in this cave it echos through the water (reflecting pool) in the cave and somehow perhaps allows them to communicate with the sun god through their "cave radio".
