I think the song's about getting so far gone in a trip that you feel like everything is an illusion, trying to "state your case" as to what is real if anything, and contemplating the importance of your life. You may feel like you have to "create a good illusion" to live your life as a normal person. It's a tender situation because you feel like you have undone your whole existence, and you are treading carefully to put it all together. "Taste the waste" is realizing how fake our lives can be, and the feeling that you are wasting it. "What's your place in my glorification" is wondering how you can live more true to your real self (god/oneness). Feeling the grip of your salvation is seeing something more true than anything in your life and feeling eternity.
