The second of the quadrilogy of The Physics of Fire songs. The first three lines recount the history of mankind after the fall of Adam and Eve and before Jesus' first-coming as a time of darkness and the repeating metaphor of their souls being frozen from sin. "Until", is a key transtional pharse in the quadrilogy. Before this transition, there is an overall feeling of hopeless are man had fallen with no hope of salvation. Yet this fire falls from the heaven. This fire is Jesus, the only one who can thaw us from the ice of sin. It coninues to describe his followers as the ones to "take up torches and carry them into all the eath". They are also to share to the world the remedy for removing the enemy's grasp on their life. This carryinig alludes to Jesus' parable of being lights in a dark world. Yet still there are people who refuse to accept because they had not seen themselves. But even in the midst of unbelief, there were those who left the things of this world and pursued to reclaim their soul, stolen by the enemy and sin. Story continues with Epoch of War (The Physics of Fire Pt. 3).
