This power of fire is the Holy Spirit, as Adam was, for a time, without sin and indewlt with the Spirit. Through the fall of mankind, this fire was removed due to the results of sin. When Adam Eve ate of the fruit of the tree of knowledge, they was gaining knowledge, but trading their eternal soul in the process. After this, the corruption of the enemy and of sin strangled their lifes, and the lifes of the human race, encasing them in spiritual ice for all time. Fortunately there is more to the story.
