I know it has been a while since the last post, but the first one is all wrong. This song could go one of either two ways. 1. This is about the scornfulness of women. meaning that dispite what you do or no matter what measure you goto you can never please a women. I doubt this is what brad intended. So on to #2. This song is about Trust. Meaning that the knights trusted the maidens so that they felt comfortable taking advantage of that trust (The knights always pestered the maidens), but in the end, it was this taking the maidens for granted that led to the knights ending up the plates of the lions (din din) which in it self it another metaphore. But I am sure if you edited 1 and 2 together eventually the true meaning will be found.
