The New Flesh, going with The Fragile's theme of failed redemption, has the subject descending again into the pains of addiction. Even though they know it is wrong and will only destroy them after going through it once before,( "I've watched this scene a thousand times", "This is how it all begins) , they lie to themself that it won't be the same as before and once again begin to return to where they started("A new disguise", "Give it to me.. I can take it.")
