Tons of people sign up for myspace everyday, and most of them are 'emo' or 'scene' kids, outnumbering everyone else.
'Join our dark army.
It only costs your soul, and a box of hair dye.'
Some normal people who join myspace end up turning into a scene kid because everyone else is one too. People change who they are (sell their souls) by coloring their hair, changing their clothes, getting more piercings (especially facial and/or gauged ears)'
'Tom the overlord owns all your friends.'
When you join myspace Tom is automatically your friend. He's everybody's 'friend'.
'And you'll never stop us, we're better dressed than you.'
Some kids think they'll never have to grow up and conform to society (never stop us). They can just keep living with their tight jeans, converse or vans shoes, retro cartoon tees and expect to make it through the world.
'Organized melodrama, the world according to popularity.'
Let's face it.. most scene kids tend to be drama queens (being the friend of many and partially one myself).
'Your friends are numbered.
We'll help you count the bodies.
Your friends are numbers.
We'll give you one as well.'
While this can refer to your top friends and number of friends, on myspace every user also has a friend ID, which is like your own individual serial code.. or your own number.
'We are a sophisticated ego mass.
But we're all afraid, we all live in fear.'
Nobody is actually confident in themselves on myspace, everybody just tries to look better than the next.
'We assemble every weekend.'
Go to school during the week, sit around on our computers all day during the weekend on myspace.
'We'll turn this world into a soap opera.'
Again with the teenage drama queens thing.
'Lights, camera, action.
We are the overlord.'
Now it's time to get prettied up, set the lights just right, and snap pictures in the mirror.
My meaning, broken down:
'The resistance falls beneath our onslaught. Unstoppable force, watch our numbers grow.'
