I'm suprised noone has mentioned all the references to Venus in this song. Considering that he says "Evening Star" I think he is making a play on words between the planet venus and the Roman goddess. Venus was the Roman equivelent of the greek Aphrodite (the goddess of love and longing) Venus the planet is the brightest "star" in the morning or evening. Where is talking about "runs forever among thy halls" I think he is talking about the rotation of the planets. Same with "star of riddance". I love the part about the wizard...
