Light In Your Eyes Lyrics

This one of my favorite Sheryl songs. I've heard from many different sources that this was inspired by the passing of Beatle, George Harrison. From what I heard, his death affected Sheryl greatly and it inspired her to write "Light In Your Eyes".

I am not sure how it connects to Harrison (I don't know much about his solo career or him) but the song seems to be very optimistic which is a great departure from Sheryl's usually dark lyrics.

It sends the message that life is too short to waste so go out and enjoy the good stuff. I also get the feeling that she is speaking to a younger person who has not yet experienced much and she is encouraging her or him to explore and talk the one who gave you the light in your eyes. Great song!!

@Volver88 In this context, it's possible that Sheryl is indirectly referencing Harrison's "The Inner Light," although the lyrics of that song don't seem to connect here.

@Volver88 The guitar solo at 2:07 definitely has a George Harrison sound to it
