ughhh so i spent the last 10 minutes typing this amazing analysis for this song and when i went to add it, my internet connection got disconnected and it deleted the whole comment, so ill try to rewrite it as well as i can.
i really like how the whole album starts off as a record playing. and even throughout the album there are bits where you can hear it and i think it even switches of onto another record, and then ends as a record. i think that resembles life, and the fact that life is an ongoing circle. the fact that it switches records in the middle, i think, resembles how even though life always is the same rutine, you have the ability to change it. you have the ability to lead different paths and to i guess turn over a new leaf. and i think that the whole album is almost like a journey of how you started off as one person, and then ended up as a whole new person, and that whole new person is your true self.
the first song definatly does have a very strong "being yourself" message being expressed. i think the first verse can be translated as "don't let everybody influence you and don't let people pressure you into doing things just because everybody else does them because then you'll never find out who you really are." and then i think it goes on to say that, there will always be those people who are going to try and use you and pressure you and let you down, but you just have to somehow trust yourself and trust the fact that who you are, is who you need to be. not what everyone tells you who you need to be, but you need to trust your individuality and resist the pressure of everyone else.

i think this part means that, by just saying "i'm going to be this person" or "i'm going to do this and i'm going to make this happen" does nothing for you. nobody is going to listen to you or care unless you actually stand up for yourself and really do something, then people will notice.
