The reason why Kent did two (one?) english album is because they'd become so big in sweden that they had to try to release something for the listeners outside the nordic countries. But I agree that this (and all the others) song get lost somewhere in the translation. And actually, when you understand the lyrics and hear Jocke Berg singing them, they get some much better. Try listening to the swedish version too! Goes for all the english songs.
Back to this song... The lyrics don't tell us much, but I believe it's about politicians in general "black and white inside" means that they give all this empty promises, and "reward me now" (sung very powerfully) is their cry for acceptance and to be acknowledged.
