This song is about Lars, specifically I read somewhere it was inspired by Metallica using the video of him for Some Kind Of Monster despite him telling them no, and that he came accross bad(I have had no interest in anything metallica's done since they put out that worthless corporate album garbage days or whatever it was called, once again making money off other people's talent's. I guess that's what they're good at)because he was stuck in san francisco for his birthday making that video because it was 2 days after september 11th and he couldn't fly back to pheonix to see his family and get his new car for his birthday, and then they asked his approval and he said no but they went ahead and used the video anyway. Would you forgive that coked up little weasel? Dave has been fucked over by that no-talent repetitive drummer one too many times, I guess. Seriously, Metallica's music hasn't been all that great since Cliff died, hell most of it isn't even worth listening to. Metallica's whole early success was due to the lingering music Dave left behind(hell for those of you who play guitar play Call of Ktulu and then Hangar 18, same damn chords in the same order and my guess is that kind of creative chording isn't something within the un-original playing style Kirk has the ability to create)

I utterly and completely disagree with everything you have said that is opinionated. You are obviously not a true Metallica fan, but oh well you are entitled to your opinion. Dave was never fucked over for being kicked out of the band. He was a dangerous alcoholic asshole. He has always been a dick. I am glad you is now a born again Christian, maybe he can resolve some of his person troubles through Christ.

I knew about the SKOM thing but I didn't know it ran so deep. And Anderson, if you read Dave's biography, Dave was no more alcoholic than the other members. Plus, the fights they had were usually settled quickly and didn't affect him being kicked out. They woke up and said. "Your out of the band" sent him on a 2 week bus ride home with no food or money, leaving him to beg...And about the hangar 18 chords, Dave has writing credits on Call of Ktulu, so he probably was the original writer of both, explaining the connection.
