Personal favorite -- on the surface a call to action to dispense youth energy like airborne roman candles. Not all problems are fixable, making it easier to live the urban hermit lifestyle, but new chances/opportunity/life exists outside the television/living room.
The "pointing out west" line may refer to the band's Brooklyn home and to the westward Manhattan skyline and lights. It's a common theme that scenes often develop right outside the supposed cultural epicenter (ie Brooklyn, Long Island, NJ). Though Brooklyn's a borough and the others aren't, this is one more example of fine "cultural satellite" writing. Good work Pela -- can't wait for more songs from them.
