To me, this could be exactly like you say, from a future perspective, but what if it's her? Could those be her words, and her committing "The Most Viscious Crime?" Just thought that maybe it could be an example of her motivation and the way she went about the breakup or transition.
Yeah, I think they are her words. He stuck to the straight lines, did all he could, found the love, it went bad, and in the end all she was doing the whole time was stealing his cries, believing his lies (because he obviously was wrong in choosing her), and is running his life aground...
