to me this song is about the search for love&friendship. those are two great things that should last forever, but there's so many times when you think "this could be it" and it's not.

this is a reference to the people who once meant a lot to you, but now are "dead" to you. gold coffins equate to the good times with them that are now just memories.

she says as she floats like an angel
"You will never know until you let me go, I'm hoping this will never end."'
this line is the saddest to me. everyone else is gone and now the two friends/lovers are asking themselves if their relationship will last or go to rot like everyone else. but of course neither knows.

i love this song. i love this band. my life hasn't been the same since my sister&i went to one of their shows. it was definitely one of the best experiences of my life. this songs also reminds me of that, since none of their other shows i've been to have compared to that first show but i keep going anyway, hoping to reennact that amazing night...
