This song has crazy lyrics no doubt. It's got to be highly metaphorical, and I can't quite figure out what it means. The "flame" on the couch represents something, maybe a passion that he brings back to life (rekindles) and protects (wards the wind). But then the last part sounds like he murders someone he likes. First they "clicked" meaning they get along great? Then he "clicked" the trigger of the gun, "pointed, squinted, and pulled". Then he's forever punished for this action.
