I think this one's basically just about Odin, a Norse god (a god of war, wisdom, battle and death to be exact). In Norse mythology Odin sacrificed one of his eyes to "gain the wisdom of the ages", thus "the eye of Odin", not "the eyes of Odin" (well, that's what I think anyway).

the fields down there and the ravine below
He beholds a kingdom of grace, savage yet fair
This reminds me of Odin looking down upon his kingdom. Actually, I think there might be more to the lyrics than what I've just written. I'll leave you to decide =]
