This is the song that introduced me to Windsor Drive (seeing how this is the first comment, I'm hoping that eventually others will be introduced to this song).
This is a great demonstration of the band's musical as well as lyrical talent. It reads like a fantasy/fairytale story. I believe the song is just an expression of the need for love ("I went too far, now I need you so much more") and the natural instinct of preserving and protecting it ("I am yours for the keeping", "I'll save you from the forest dark and grim"). It's a beautiful way of telling someone that you love them, hope they love you back, and that you would do whatever it takes to protect them.
