I have a live version of Pete singing this, so he has sung this song before. But to be fair, it's the only time I've heard of him singing it, despite the fact that there are dozens of versions of "France" floating around. As it's been pointed out already, it's pretty well-established that this is Carl's song. I'm also fairly sure it's from a solo gig rather than a Babyshambles show, so even though Pete sang it once by himself it probably shouldn't be an entry here.
But since I'm here anyway... In the track I have the lines about eye color are reversed (So I remember your eyes/That unique shade of blue/While these brown eyes of mine they stay closed). I have to admit that kind of made me sad. :-( I prefer the (many) versions of Carl singing this song, but this one was pretty, as are most of the songs Pete sings.
