i've always loved this song and listened to it a lot before i went to bali. out there mushroom shakes can be bought...the balinese are a very sociable nation, and they do ask who you are, where you are from etc...and will spot you the next time they see you. granted they ususally have something to sell, but very friendly and charming with it
re: doors knocking - can only imagine he's staying at a place with a few other people and wants a quick root off his missus before he gets woken up to go for an early morning surf? there always seems to be lots of people - tourists and locals in bali
eyes are god - in a glass full of jelly - dunno. is he saying they have beautifull kindness in their eyes? maybe the mushroom was taking effect then
