Despite anyones misgivings about the idea of Mediocre Generica being called "Shoot the Kids at Your School" and its album artwork(Which was supposed to be an arm carrying a gun, I think) they want no censorship and freedom of speech. Plus go listen to Gay Rude Boys Unite the line is in there and in proper contex makes sense(its no less violent), but honestly no one can who would do that can claim they are fighting against cenorship...which Tim Armstrong has, that hypocrisy is what makes people think he's dumb...and partially the reason for the attack here, the other part being that rancid really, at one point in time, was a fixture on radio stations (this was about the time of the "second coming of punk") plus people thought rancid was a knock off of the clash so that even lends itself more to what i think this song is talking about:about how we need options then the ones that record companies and radio stations give us and that monotony is harmful to society...so my suggestion turn off the tv and radio and create something new
