Personally I think this song is telling about how we try hard to figure things if we fail our expectations of what things might mean we might get thrown off the horse but we don't know the limit of how many times we will get back up. When he says

I think hes trying to say is that there is only one truth to the mystery of time and that is the attraction between the human soul. At the very end of the song
"Would you choose supremacy
if it led to isolation?
Could you handle the solitude?
Would you still prefer the throne?"
I believe that they are talking about the supremacy over that attraction even though it led to the loneliness of one another it ask the person if they could stand it any more and ask if they still wanted that type of thinking.
