The beauty of the chorus is that he realizes that no matter how hard his life is, he must "give regards" to GOD, and live for GOD's will. and if succeds at that, it means he has saved his "fellow man" by spreading the word of GOD and giving them the oppertunity of recieving GOD's gift of Heaven. If he fails...well, at least he go's to heaven for having faith and giving GOD his "regards".
