This song i think is about war again.

They talk about all these things going wrong in the world and such but i also think there asking who should we hold responsible. I mean if you read " There's a fire on the plains of Kansas City, Kansas Somebody dropped the bomb The Louisiana swamps are turnin' red The Memphis train ain't ever gonna run again There's a fog rollin' on to Boston, Massachusetts Who's got the smokin' gun "

I think there asking who should we hold responsible for all this because alot of things are going wrong all over the place. The memphis trains are never running again and Boston has fog as in the war. And maybe hes a soldier? I dont know im reading it now and it seems to me as in he sees all these soldiers comin in and he wants his GF or everyone to run for shelter...Anyone got any ideas?
