i think its about suicide bombers and stuff like related to that
"pull harder on the strings" could refer to when bombs are detonated
"martyr" refers directly to the suicide bombers dying for what they believe in.
@Chris_White interesting concept ... not many have given an explanation for the martyr side of the song (as killing a tyrant wouldn't really make you a martyr, unless of course you failed and were killed by that tyrant). The song does not really seem to suggest that they failed in the revenge.
