I absolutely love this song and feel that this band gets very little credit for how amazing they sound. As far as the meaning is concerned, I have to say that I think it's about a guy who messed up his relationship, and now he's realizing that he wants the girl back, but it's too late. He still won't give up, even though he knows it's a lost cause.
