I think it'sjust about slowly "over time" falling into isolation and sadness, which, can make it difficult to express emotions. Just not being satisfied ("are you really where you wanted to be") and trying to get your message across, yet no one listens. and that whole "there is more to living than being alive", coincidentally, i can't express the emotions i tie to this. it's so true when you don't feel like waking up anymore, no matter what, you just have no motivation to live or look up anymore. hence: down cast eyes...stephen did an amazing job articulating feelings that can't be easily expressed.
