I love the music in this song. It is quite possibly my most favorite devendra song, ever. I think all his music is so simple in such a beautiful way. He also makes his lyrics so descriptive and creative, much like this song. I can picture in my head everything he says and it definitely speaks to me on so many levels.
I think most of this song refers to be weighed down by all of life's problems and still looking on the bright side of it. Not letting things get you down and still staying positive...but that's just my opinion. I may be totally off here.
