I think the meaning is pretty clear, which is so bittersweet and beautiful. You love someone, they'll always be in your heart, and I like to think it was about someone dying, not just breaking up. It's more tragic for me that way (also fits its movie better), and that's how I like it. And even though it's supposed to be uplifting, that you will keep on living, it mostly depresses me.
