Suedehead Lyrics

My interpretation of this song was that the protagonist was the one in love, and the person he is singing about knows it and uses it to satisfy their ego. The other person knows that it is hard for him to have her hanging around and sending little reminders of herself, when he is trying to get over her. The part where he sings about the person reading his diary just to see all the things he'd written about her further shows the narcissistic personality of the person. I love this song, and I especially love the bit where he sings about the diary, particularly about how "sickened" he is. Anyway that's my two cents.

Could it be that the last verse "it was a good lay" was the diary entry the lover had read and got hurt? And could it be that the note actually did not convey the protagonist's real feelings but was just a silly comment not meant to be read and he was the one in love indeed? and hen when she read it she broke it off but wants to still be friends so she comes around and he feels awkward.

@Miss_Susan I agree but, it was a he. Not a she who he had a non requited relationship with

@John851234 nunca ha dicho eso, tampoco la canción da indicios de eso, deja de inventar cosas 🤦‍♀️
