I agree with sporgalish but differ in thought process. I've come to believe (from my experiences with Salvia Divinorum) that the Universe isn't constantly being "technically" destroyed but constantly being folded upon itself, like an enormous rolodex or something, and eventually over time it returns to the beginning. But everytime it gets back to the starting point it's slightly distorted and/or different because it's worn out from the pressure of itself being compacted upon itself.
OK now I've some how confused myself which is understandable because Salvia creates some of the most amazing but confusing thoughts I've ever comprehended.
