I think that this is a song that anyone can read anything into it. I'm feeling kind of anti-religion right now, so that is what the song is.
"It’s all the same, there’s nothing new " All religions are just reruns of the same old tired ideas.
"Trapped in a world of ordinary madness, " Everyone expects you to belive in/respect god, when the idea of god is a ridiculous one at best (a spook in the attic watching your every move - the FBI, perhaps?)
"Your heroes lied, yeah they’re all just a fake " See above for god discussion. Priests/organized religions are just bunch of fakes.
"They beat you down and you might as well face it " People use and abuse religious teachings for their own ends - the Christian right justifying war on other countries (Can you tell I'm a democrat :) ) with religious teachings. People use religion to subvert others, not empower them.
"You live your life like you’re some kind of actor " Religious people live like they have something to prove, and something to achieve to ensure their place in heaven. They are actors, and god(s) is(are) the audience.
"It ain’t a fallacy, it ain’t superstition " This is self explanatory.
"We’re gonna need some action soon" Read what you want into this.
