This song is such a tear jerker. I think that in the relationship between the two people sung about, one of them deeply loved his partner, but had not been an affectionate person, he knew how he felt inside for his partner but did not ever let his feelings out. Because he was like that, the girl could not see the love that he actually has for her so she felt that she had to move on .. shown she did this in the line 'tell me that your sweet love hasn't died, and give me one more chance to keep you satisfied.' : he asks for one more chance because he realises that he can't keep holding his feelings inside, if he wants to keep her.
