I agree much with Koll, not putting offense to anyone else who has commented on this song. I ADORE this song, and I love the lyrics. I agree that someone (Davey, I guess you could say) wants to have one last thrill with someone and let them be who they want to be before they are taken away by savages. I agree with the fact that the "lonely wars" are afflictions with themselves that they are trying to overcome, and their "fates" which like Koll said are the futures of them becoming vicious animals are going to be forgotten for the moment so they can enjoy what's left of their freedom. Also, I MAY be wrong, but I believe that the lyrics are:
"Where the strange creatures play in mystic caves of strange, disassociate"...it may not make sense, but that's what I find from the majority of lyric sights.
AND: "The soldier's waking" not "We're..."
