My Radio Lyrics

I think this song has to do with environmental issues. Stars can be pretty political sometimes, especially if you see them in concert before a big election (even though they based in canada.)

I think the Radio is both the actual radio - the music the group makes and the message they are trying to get accross, and also radio like radiation. There seem to be lots of references to things like nuclear energy, radiation, pollution, etc.

"Mornings lost in a chronic haze Breath is fast and the trains are slow" - I see a hazy morning in the city, where the air pollution has blotted out most of the skyline, and the singer is having trouble breathing.

"Words get lost in the atmosphere" - like the people who talk about global warming, their words fall on deaf ears and its just another thing floating up into the atmosphere.

Other references: Bathed in pale reactor light, Count my blessings and my thumbs (makes me think of how radiation can cause mutations and have other odd effects, hes hoping he isnt affected), Far away from the chemoware .....

The Sixteen on a summer roof part is him thinking back to his younger days, sitting on a roof with a girl when the air was fresh, and overall life was more enjoyable and beautiful. He didnt have the cares and worries he has now. The only reason climate change (All winter up her woods = sexual innuendo) would come to his mind was because he was thinking of how he wanted to have sex with the girl who was playing hard to get.

"And when I go my radio Will make a melody that lingers" I think is the jist of the song. He hopes his music makes an impact.
