This is definately one of my favorite spill canvas songs.. It is absolutely beautiful.. I dont think its litterally talking abotu a disease so much as just having a hard time coping with something probably a harsh breakup or fight wiht a friend..he's yearning to be loved and thinks suicide or jus self destructing himself in other ways is the only solution..
