dog sized bird and mouth are the only songs on 'the always open mouth' in which the title is in the song itself. hence in the song "mouth" when he says "the always open mouth" repetatively.

this song is not about jehovah's witness. at all.

just like the majority of fear before's song lyrics, this one deals with corperate america, economy, and the media's impact on popular belief. shocker.

looking deeper into it, this song very well may be just the title. confusion.

the line "spare the body before the mind gets the best of" is a sentance fragment. the best of what? you?

it reminds me of their song "high as a horse." people try anything to prevent change once they're content with what they have, like using ritalin as medicine. a lot of people are afraid of change, and if they let their mind be free and believe what they truely believe it could go against other beliefs and cause a big mess that they are too lazy to sort out. so why not just buy something that gaurentees prevention.

"Tell me what it is that you fear the most Well take it and use it put on the radio" if the "well" in that line is meant to be a "we'll" then that means that people will make the lamest gaurentees to the general public to prevent something they don't want to happen.

kind of reminds me of the middle ages and the selling of indulgences that promised desperate people that their deceased family members will have a gaurenteed slot in heaven.

anything will be done for profit, even if the consequences consist of raping people of their individuality.

i'll go back to what i was saying, it's just complete and utter confusion. my explanation of this song doesn't even make sense in my mind. damn this song is hard.
