Can it be possible to say that Meat Loaf actually restrained himself musically? Here, he did, and the song suffers for it. I think the eclectic tempo and good lyrics (the third stanza is genius) could have made for a "Bat Outta Hell" style rock anthem. But for some reason, he cut himself short and was content to repeat the refrain 60 bzillion times. Oh well...
