Well yeah i think it's just about how all these people have this view of what is 'normal', but it's just someone's opinion. And then if you don't fit into that someone's opinion of whats normal then bam you're on some drug like ridilan etc. And somehow it's meant to make you normal so you can be like everyone else. But i think the song is saying being different is who you are, you're unique. And the line "You are neurotic and depressed it doesn't mean taht you're sad" is saying yeah you're irrational, fixated and a bit down but it doesn't mean you need to be given drugs.
