This song is part of the Wake Pig compilation. I think the whole album describes a persons journey through life in order. Alien Angel is the first song and thus symbolizes the beginning. i.e birth. It describes how we get thrown onto this planet (fallen into flesh and bone) without a clue and our minds are blank. We find ourselves in a society that is uptight and rigid. The system is in place and we are molded into the consumer culture and everything else that comes with it. This is in tune with the Alien Angel video. Basically, in the beginning, we are all saints (angels), pure and uncorrupted. Joey is addressing us and talking about our youth when he say.. "are you an angel whose ship ran aground, can't get a grip on this planet you've found.." Joey also expresses his anger at how we keep blindly moving forward into society without ever pondering about who we really are, how we got here, could there be a purpose.. Society does this to us. It gives us reasons to live and die for, even though those reasons do not explain why we are here in the first place.. Joey's own lyrics from his solo album also seem to resonate this thinking.. "Who do you think you are? You're an insect in a jar!" The album progresses through a person's life till it ultimately ends at Amaze Disgrace which talks about death (Your life, blood bleeds, along your wrist). It also mentions the underground where all dead souls supposedly went according to Greek Mythology.
