This is the first song that I've ever truly related to, and the first song where the lyrics have made sense to me a 100 % (well 99 % to be resonable). Anyway, to me this song describes just what I felt with my ex-boyfriend. The feeling that you're always wrong, and you don't dare to trust that you're actually loved by your partner (could be by a friend or someone else too, though). It's about not feeling worthy the persons love, and about bad selfasteem. You're getting mixed signals from your partner. Even when he or she makes an effort to show you their love, you can't really trust that gesture. It still feels like maybe their just being polite or something.
I could go on for ages, but I'll show some selfdiciplin.
Finally. I especially relate to the lines:
"i even think you hate me
when you call me on the phone
and sometimes when we go out i wish i'd stayed at home
and when i'm dreaming or just lying in my bed i think
you've got it in for me
is it all in my head
is it in my head"
