I think this song is about love, and its (possible) extremely negative nature. It seems that while one person is working towards love, the other couldn't care less and has ended up selfishly killing themself. (this could be taken either literally or metaphorically)
In turn, the other persona has also taken their own life. (again, actually died, or given up the person they are)
The end of the song is explaining why the events played out like they did.
"As we aspired to be more
Your love remained a revolving door
And as we proceeded, I gave you all you needed
But in your eyes the sky was falling
This door no longer revolving"
While one person was working for it, the other was being selfish and lived for themselves, giving up the love that was built.
The ironic comment
"Isn't love bliss?"
Is meant to draw the song to a climax, and emphasise the fact that love is often not bliss.
The chorus is about making the most of what you're given, and saying that you need to cherish the moment (and each other) to make things work.
This song is amazing. Best on the album i think.
