That line seems to sum up what's going on... he's spent the night with someone, someone who's probably insecure. She may often find her feelings fading after she sleeps with someone. Might have happened with him once before, even, and she doesn't want it to this time- so she doesn't want to get up, doesn't want to see the new day starting. But the singer is trying to reassure her that things will be different this time, so she might as well get up and watch the sunrise with him.
