I am going to post what the song means to me. Not the meaning intended, if my interpretation is what the song is about, then it's a conincidence.
To me, Return To Fantasy is about how humans aren't perfect but are trying to be, but don't know that their ascension to the afterlife or heaven will grant them perfection (Like a hungry poet who doesn't know he is close to perfection). The Return To Fantasy part can come from how the afterlife is something that we don't know much about, it's a fantasy fueled by belief.
"We can return to the land of the good and the kind", going to heaven where everything is perfect and the inhabitants are god and kind people.
"Travelling faster than lightning, closer than ever before" can be how they're ascending, they're closer than they've ever been to the afterlife and it's secrets.
