Goodbye Sober Day Lyrics

The post by "Elimination" is totally absurd. For starters, the pretentious attitude towards "avant-garde" as a genre and as "art" is not only annoyingly elitist but also completely wrong (for example the implication that as "art" music should not bother telling stories or even writing cohesive lyrics).

Furthermore, the suggestion that, because Patton is clever enough to use his vocals as a unique and highly variable instrument, his lyrics are meaningless is absurd and disrespectful towards Patton himself. Of course the lyrics have meaning. Simply by using English words they songs have meaning; if Patton wanted to avoid meaning he would doubtless use wordless vocals, which in fact he does quite often. And I can't imagine Patton would come up with such clever poetry with no regard to the meaning of what he is saying.

I can't even begin to finish my argument, what you say is so fucking..... silly!

Seriously, just read your comment, you sould like such a pretentious asshole it's almost funny.

Thanks.
