This is purely about what a person makes the writer feel like even if what the person may be doing some thing deemed disgusting "she smokes like an amethyst"
"she is moving her way through my skin" = gives that amazing tingly feeling that you get when you like someone (sorry for the cliche but it's true :) )
however no matter how he tries, he cant seem to egt her to notice him
i think the chrorus speaks for itself but almost looks as if the story has jumped forward somewhat by saying "I'll try to kill our pastime"
the rest of the song gives the same ignored feeling all the way through till the end
thats what it think it means :P
